OTA Connections
OTA (Online Travel Agency) Connections allow you to distribute your tours through third-party booking platforms like Viator, GetYourGuide, and other OCTO-compatible resellers.
Navigate to Channels > OTA Connections to manage your distribution channels.
OTA Connections are not yet available
OTA Connections are currently in development and not available during the trial phase. The information below describes how the feature will work once released. We will notify you when OTA connections become available for your account.
How it works
When connected, OTA platforms can:
- Query availability - See your real-time tour availability and pricing.
- Create bookings - Customers book on the OTA site, and the booking flows into your system automatically.
- Sync capacity - Spots booked through an OTA reduce availability across all channels, preventing overbooking.
- Manage cancellations - Cancellations from the OTA are reflected in your bookings.
All OTA bookings appear in your Operations > Bookings page alongside direct bookings, with the booking source clearly labeled.
Supported platforms
The system uses the OCTO standard (Open Connectivity for Tourism), which is supported by major OTA platforms:
- Viator
- GetYourGuide
- Klook
- Any OCTO-compatible booking platform
Setting up a connection
- Navigate to Channels > OTA Connections.
- Click Create Connection.
- Select your OTA provider.
- Enter the connection details:
- Connection name - A friendly label (e.g., "Viator Hamburg").
- Supplier ID - The OTA's identifier for your business.
- Configure settings:
- Auto-confirm bookings - Whether OTA bookings are confirmed automatically or require manual review.
- Booking cutoff - How many hours before tour start to stop accepting OTA bookings.
- The system generates an API key and endpoint URL to share with the OTA platform.
Product mapping
After creating a connection, map your tours to the OTA's product listings:
- Open the connection and go to the Product Mappings tab.
- Map each of your tours to the corresponding OTA product.
- Set pricing tier mappings (Adult, Child, Senior) to match the OTA's pricing structure.
Once a tour has an OCTO product configuration, individual tour options can be mapped to the OCTO API as well, each with its own cancellation cutoff. This is configured per option from the Tours page.
Tips
- Start with one OTA connection and verify the booking flow end-to-end before adding more.
- Set a booking cutoff of at least 2-4 hours to give yourself time to prepare for OTA bookings.
- Monitor the booking source column on the Bookings page to track which channels are generating the most revenue.
- Use auto-confirm for trusted OTA partners to reduce manual work.
